Two generations, one passion: the story of Art By Coolen
We are Peter and Lieselot, a father-daughter team with a shared love of art. Art By Coolen started with a simple idea: art deserves a place in the world, not under the stairs.
Peter, born and raised in Ostend, is a painter and the creative force behind our paintings. His colourful works, created with acrylic paint, tell unique stories and stimulate the imagination. For years, he lovingly collected his creations at home, but they stood there hidden from the world, gathering dust under the stairs. I (Lieselot) thought that was a shame. While my father focuses entirely on creating his art, I make sure his works reach people. From managing the website and developing merchandise to photography, blogs and client contact - I take care of the business side. For him, it's all about the art, purely out of passion. For me, this is an opportunity to share something beautiful and inspire others.
