Prints Featuring Japanese Embroidery
This collection is all about tradition! Famous traditional prints—by artists such as Ohara Koson (world-renowned for his *shin-hanga* woodblock prints of birds and flowers, or *kachō-e*) and Katsushika Hokusai (creator of the iconic *The Great Wave off Kanagawa*)—have been adapted and transformed using the celebrated traditional Japanese embroidery style known as Sashiko (meaning "little stiches"). The result is a striking wall piece: an original image from a famous print combined with the warmth of traditional Sashiko artistry.
