About the artwork

An enchanted place of light in the heart of a forest.

One day in the Polish town of Jelenia Gora, I discovered a similar picture hanging in impressive size as a photograph in the stairwell of the local thermal spa. At first glance, the motif seemed commonplace: a body of water surrounded by forest.

But the radiance of this photograph captivated me in an inexplicable way. The emotional impact was so intense that I spontaneously decided to capture the perceived mood and create this small-format oil painting on wooden panel. The painting features rays of light coming down from above and gathering on the water in a clearing in the forest. It could be a hidden forest lake, with no accessible shore, perhaps a well-kept secret for nature lovers or locals. The painting, however, is freely inspired and shows this very forest lake instead of a stream, albeit interpreted differently from the photograph in the thermal bath in Jelenia Gora.

"Place of Light" measures 40 x 30 cm and is an acrylic painting on wooden panel created by Silvian Sternhagel in 2018.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
