The Prison Gate in the fortified town of Woudrichem is a preserved water gate as a former part of the fortifications. It is part of the ramparts.
The gate building currently has a catering purpose. In the 19th century it was a prison. On the left and right there are characteristic white houses. The photo was taken at dusk after a rainstorm, so the lights reflect extra in the pavement.
