Limited edition: 50 pieces
This work belongs to the series of so-called Scratch Pictures - photographs
Crumbled, torn - and yet beautiful. Marked by the rain, whipped by the wind, exposed to the sun. Touched by fingers, carelessly abandoned, barely noticed in passing - and yet: beautiful. Art lives within us.
The camera not only captures an image, but also documents an urban metamorphosis: torn layers of paper, worn surfaces and fragmentary motifs merge into a new visual narrative.
At the centre is a partially exposed portrait of a man, whose melancholy expression is given a new level of meaning through the superimposition of vibrant green and peeling poster fragments. The composition of the picture thrives on the tension between the visible and the concealed - between time and decay.
Art - the sensualisation of the spirit.
