About the artwork

Amstelveense poel is a small lake that borders on Amsterdam forrest ("Amsterdamse Bos"), Amstelveen and the village Bovenkerk. On the photo you see the Sint Urbanuskerk.
This is part 2 of the serie "Amstelveense Poel", a small lake in Amstelveen which borders on the "Amsterdamse bos". This was a man made forrest built from 1934 (crisis years). Alot of people didn't have a job and were forced to work to get a payment. During the World War 2 alot of yewish people had to continue the construction. Alot of these yewish people had to live in Labor camp which were stationed at the north part of the bosbaan (north part of the Amsterdamse bos). Eventually the construction is finished in 1964 and the last trees were placed by childeren at 1970 at the national treeparty day. The "Amsterdamse bos" now is a much visited location for people from the surrounding cities like Amsterdam, Amstelveen & Amstelveen.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
