The original photo was in colour (also available in my shop) but in this version I opted for black and white. By removing all colour from the photo, only the contrasts remain, from almost white to almost deep black. This gives a much more mysterious and dramatic effect than the cheerful reds and yellows of the original. Also, a much better black and white photo fits most interiors and is a good option for anyone who wants calm colours in their home.

Converting travel photography to black and white can enhance the emotion and timelessness of images by focusing on shapes, textures, contrast and light. This creates a simple and minimalist look, which emphasises the essence of the subject and reduces distractions. Black-and-white photography gives photos's classic and artistic expression and can create a unified aesthetic for a cohesive visual narrative. This allows both photographers and viewers to develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of the moments captured.

Built in the 15th century, the Iglesia de la Concepción in Málaga combines Gothic and Baroque styles and has a richly decorated interior. The strikingly coloured wall at the back, decorated with ceramic tiles and mosaics, is a key feature. The church plays a crucial role in religious celebrations and is a popular tourist attraction, while also representing the cultural and religious identity of the local community.
