About ‘ferns’ by Ed Dorrestein

wild ferns in the nature reserve wildrijk in north holland. This forest is very special. Good for a walk of less than an hour, just in the spring. Then, as far as you can see, the ground is covered with a blue carpet of wild hyacinths. Here and there are shades of pink and white, interspersed with the fresh green of young ferns. In addition, a few corners of wild white daffodils bloom near the forester's house. In the summer you will find coolness and in the autumn there are many mushrooms.

Clean water from the dunes
Other special plants that bloom there are the nodding bird's milk and the spring sunflower. Singing black heads, garden warblers and sometimes wheelwales complete this spring fairy tale. With a special kind of pumping station, a barrel mill, the water level is maintained. The water comes directly from the dunes through a so-called 'clean water ditch'. This makes the Wildrijk one of the most beautiful nature reserves of Landschap Noord-Holland.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
