About ‘église Saint-Martin de Laon’ by Simon Abbes

A Catholic church(église Saint-Martin de Laon) in the French city of Laon. Everything is still in shadow except the church which is beautifully illuminated by the sun.

During my vacation in France, I also spent a day in Laon. I had woken up early that morning to go for a walk. It was so early that there was almost nobody. As I was enjoying the walk through the still quiet city, the sun was slowly rising. Slowly but surely the buildings in the city were illuminated. I continued walking slowly when the église Saint-Martin slowly appeared in front of me. The church was colored orange by the rising sun and the two towers stood out above the other buildings. I grabbed my camera and then took this picture hoping to capture the atmosphere well.

I think this photo would go well with people who are interested in history or old cultural buildings.
