On a quiet winter morning, this image was captured. The sky was full of soft snowflakes and the world was covered in a fresh, white layer. Just then, this young deer walked into the image, straight to the wheelbarrow that was already snowed in there.
The animal stood still, looking straight into the lens, as if momentarily curious about what was happening. No fright, no hurry. just a brief encounter between man and nature. There was an almost magical calm in the air.
Behind the deer, old implements were visible, forgotten in the snow. They tell a story of seasons gone by, of work resting. Everything in the image, the snow, the silence, the animal. came together in just that one moment. No intention, no planning. Just pure luck. And that is exactly why it is so special.
