coastguard 02: The coastguard is responsible for safety at sea. They have ships and planes that can monitor ships and fisheries, and offer assistance in the event of calamities at sea, for example in the event of bad weather.

Worldwide, the small lifeboats that go directly to the coast are usually not part of the coastguard, but are part of the lifeguard. The Coast Guard usually works closely with the Navy. So-called "search and rescue" units are often part of the Coast Guard. Search and rescue (SAR) literally means search and rescue. This service often works with lifeboats or helicopters, for example to detect drowning people or to be able to pick someone up from a drilling platform or ship. In the Netherlands, lifeboats of the Royal Netherlands Rescue Company (KNRM) and of the Rescue Brigade (KNBRD) have been designated as specific SAR units.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
