This tulip did not have much contrast. It was deep purple in colour, a pretty nice tulip to look at. I photographed it and managed to get a very blurry background in which a little bit of bokeh bulbs appeared. Still, I found the photo a bit dull. I decided to make this photo black and white and after some editing in contrast, this photo was created, I actually like it much better than the colour photo. I have this one hanging on the wall myself and it adds some vibrancy to a light wall. The blur at the bottom of the photo was caused by putting something in front of it, the blurred background by adjusting the aperture and the bokeh bulbs were partly caused by that too but also by some light flowers in the background. I made this image square so the tulip is central at equal distance from the edges.
Photography was a daily activity in my work. Professionally, technical photographs were necessary, usually taken under difficult (light) conditions, to achieve a correct representation/visualization. A lot depended on these photos.
