It was a beautiful cold evening in January. I was going to Zwolle to photograph with a photography friend. We had already thought about what we wanted to photograph and I wanted to take this photo at this spot in the blue hour anyway. I had taken this one before but then it was too dark, making the contrast between the lights and dark parts too great. When we arrived at this spot, we still had plenty of time to get everything ready and I could already see there wasn't much wind, the reflection in the canal became more and more beautiful. Then it was waiting for the moment when it got just dark enough and the lights in the city came on. The cloud sky also got more and more beautiful and the moment the lights in the city came on, it was a huge wow moment for me! It really gave me a fantastic feeling to be able to capture it like this and I hope it may give you the same feeling on your wall!
