Zoutelande pile heads with dynamic cloud air.
The pile heads in Zeeland are there to prevent erosion of the coast. The tidal currents are reduced by the poles, which means that less sand is carried. At the moment, around Walcheren and at the head of Schouwen, there are about 98,000 pile heads.
I am Ed van der Hilst and since 2006 I have been photographing landscapes with great pleasure, to digitally capture our beautiful Netherlands.
