The Zaanse Schans is a historic Zaanse neighborhood, founded in 1963.
Awareness of the Zaans heritage arose during the Second World War in the Netherlands. In 1938 the Zaanse neighborhood was already set up in the Netherlands Open Air Museum with four moved homes.
Every year here countless world citizens go from everywhere to this beautiful Dutch sight.
