The Zaanse Schans is a beautiful, unique village in the west of the Netherlands, full of wooden houses, windmills, barns and workshops from the Zaan region. The Zaanse Schans is located in the municipality of Zaanstad along the Zaan river. The photo shows the cheese farm Catharina Hoeve and the paint mill De Kat at sunrise.
