This image shows how foggy it can be in the Zaanstreek. The Zaanstreek is a region/area above Amsterdam where the city and nature are closely linked. This area is home to a lot of migratory birds. As the area is as much as 5 metres below sea level, it gets very foggy very quickly. The photo was taken in Engewormer, a nice quiet nature area along the Zaan river with a few farms and many birds. A beautiful place for walking and cycling.
