About the artwork

This colourful, sporty still life was taken on 10 July 2025 in the late summer afternoon hours with the NIKON D800 camera (lens: NIKKOR 24.0-70.0 mm f/2.8).
Archery is based on the principle of an elastic stick (bow) that is stretched with a bowstring. By tightening the bowstring, the bow acts like a spring and potential energy is built up, which is released as kinetic energy of the arrow when the bowstring is released.
The stronger the tensioning force of the bow and the longer the draw of the string, the faster, further, straighter and more powerful the arrow flies. The draw weight of the bow is traditionally measured as the draw weight on the string in English pounds (1 English pound = 0.453 kg) at a draw length of 28 inches (71.12 cm). The draw weight of bows varies from a few pounds for children's bows to over 60 pounds for trained archers.
Sport archery is a shooting sport with bow and arrow. Today, shooting at standardised targets with recurve bows, to which aiming devices and stabilisers are attached, is the most widespread archery sport. The bow used, which is often referred to as an "Olympic bow", is a technologically advanced piece of sports equipment that can be used to achieve accurate hits at long distances. Archery is one of the precision sports.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
