About the artwork

A warm summer's day lies over the picturesque Königsbachalm near Berchtesgaden. A young marmot sits between the gently rolling alpine meadows, where colourful flowers glow in yellow, purple and white. Its soft, grey-brown fur shimmers in the sunlight as it searches attentively for the most delicate blades of grass. With small, skilful paws, it grasps a stalk and nibbles on it with relish. It looks up again and again to scrutinise the peaceful surroundings - towering peaks, the distant murmur of a mountain stream and the soft buzzing of insects.

The air is fresh and clear, filled with the scent of herbs and hay. Not far away, a few cows graze, their bells tinkling softly. The young marmot seems undisturbed, but its alertness harbours the wisdom of its species: every bite is accompanied by a scrutinising look at its surroundings. The Königsbachalm offers it everything it needs - lush plants, sunny places to rest and safe hiding places in the burrows of the alpine meadow.

At this moment, the world seems calm and timeless. The marmot continues to eat as if it could taste summer in every stalk. For a moment, animal, landscape and light merge into a picture of pure alpine idyll - a small, peaceful slice of life in the Berchtesgaden mountains.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
