Boulders Beach is world famous because of a colony of blackfooted penguins, who settled here in 1982. Boulders Beach is a sheltered beach, consisting of inlets between granite boulders, from which it got its name. It is located on the Cape Peninsula, near Simonstad in the direction of Cape Point, near Cape Town.
