About "Wooden Silence"

About the artwork

As an abstract art photographer, I am fascinated by the interaction between time, materials and the stories they tell. My latest work, titled "Wooden Silence," arose while walking through an abandoned village where I discovered an old, weathered door. The texture of the wood, chipped paint and brass door handles captured my imagination and inspired me to capture this still life of decay.

The atmosphere I set with this work exudes nostalgia and melancholy. It evokes memories of times gone by and the beauty hidden in the obsolete. This abstract composition aligns with the art style of abstract expressionism, with influences from artists such as Mark Rothko and Barnett Newman, who also played with textures and colours to evoke emotions without explicit representations.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
