With sunset on the IJmuiden pier
IJmuiden's raw pier the harbour beacon in green and white. The lines and edges and clouds draw your eyes to the harbour basin. Ships navigate on this cool green and white harbour light. Very far in the background on the horizon you can still see the red and white harbour light.
With my work as a street photographer, I show the rough, unpolished sides of city life. With my photos, I try to capture the beauty of everyday moments. The viewer can then invent his or her own story to go with it. I also have a fondness for industrial environments, such as harbour sites and factory buildings, where traces of the industrial past are still present. In doing so, I try to photograph subtle details, using both digital and analogue cameras.

I photograph mainly with an analogue Yashica 635 and a Ricoh AF 5.
