While walking through Italian fields, we passed an old farmhouse. Apparently it is not the custom for abandoned houses to be demolished, because it was a dilapidated ruin. I did not dare go inside, as it was teeming with snakes in the shadow of the loose door. But, the outside also offered plenty of interesting photo opportunities, such as this bricked-up window that then became a painted window and also came with a pair of bars.
The compositions in the work of Gerard Oonk are highly stylized. The main subject of the photographs is immediately recognizable.
