Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.

About ‘Windmill the Salamander in Leidschendam’ by Jeroen de Jongh Photography

Windmill de Salamander in Leidschendam is a traditional Dutch windmill originally built in 1777. It symbolises the history and heritage of the area. The mill was mainly used for grinding grain into flour, a vital function in Dutch farming communities in the 18th and 19th centuries.

In the late 20th century, the windmill underwent a thorough restoration to preserve its historical significance and structural integrity. Today, it functions as a museum and offers visitors the opportunity to explore the interior, learn more about traditional windmill technology and discover the role windmills played in Dutch society.

Visitors to Windmill the Salamander can experience first-hand the workings of the mill, see the milling process in action and gain insight into the daily life of millers in past centuries.

Leidschendam is a town in the province of South Holland in the Netherlands. Historically, Leidschendam was known for its proximity to waterways, including the Vliet river, making it an important location for trade and transport in the region.
