Het Noorden windmill, Texel
When the north-eastern areas of the island of Texel were reclaimed, a large mill was found to be needed to drain the area in 1878. When it was built, the mill was fitted with an auger. In 1928, the mill was fitted with streamline blades and three screw pumps according to the system of mill builder Dekker from Leiden.
