About ‘Wild Flowers’ by Maaike Wycisk

Maaike Wycisk sees her work as a journey of discovery in which different images and materials merge into new creations. Inspired by Pop Art, she creates colorful artworks in which classic and digital come together.

This work is a combination of a photograph of a nude photographic model photographed on her back, with a wild gof of flowers and butterflies over it. Gold appliques give the whole thing a beautiful, wild and mysterious look.

Switzerland

Maaike Wycisk was born in 1979 in Spijkenisse, near Rotterdam in the Netherlands. After some wanderings through the Netherlands and America she now lives in Switzerland.

She was always interested in coast and started experimenting with digital art. This is also what most of her work consists of: combinations of faces with different structures and materials.

In most of her works she chooses a female face as subject. Sometimes she uses famous faces, like Audrey…

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
