The whooper swan in front has a slice of bread in its bill and the ones chasing him would love to have a piece of it.Shot taken at Lake Kussharo which is one of the largest volcanic lakes in Akan National Park on Hokkaido. Deeply frozen during winter except for a few smaller spots where a lot of Whooper Swans gather for a few months.The Lake does attract a lot of people from all over the world, but mostly Japanese.At the front of the lake next to one of those open spots is a shop where people can buy slices of bread to feed to the Whooper Swans, and those Japanese visitors to the lake are buying tons of it every day..
