"White tulip in the light" is a macro photo of a beautiful white tulip. A very simple simple tulip, with beautiful veining in the blades. As the light falls on the tulip in this way, it looks as if the tulip is giving light, and the veins in the blades can be seen very nicely. The background of the tulip is as good as black. The contrast with the white tulip makes the tulip stand out clearly.
This image exudes calmness and simplicity, despite the great contrast in the photo. The simple characteristic shape of the tulip helps add to the simplicity of this image. (To my mind, this is the shape of a tulip you would draw as a child if you had to draw a tulip).
When taking this picture, I chose a fairly shallow depth of field. As a result, the front of the tulip is sharp, and the further back you look, the blurrier the tulip becomes. This creates a sense of depth in the photo and this also creates a kind of calmness, because not everything is in focus.
This white tulip could hang beautifully in a kitchen or dining room, for example!
