White and Pink Quince Blossoms and Bud _ Thee small quince blossoms. One is wide open to the left side, a closed one tidily shut in the back, and a half-open blossom to the right. The brown quince branch is curved across the composition.
The selective focus I choose for this floral macro artwork focuses just on the edges of the two quince blossoms in the foreground. I love how the raindrops were sitting on the flower petals and wanted to bring the viewer's eye to that point of interest. The view is a little below eye level, feeling like you stepped up to the quince bush looking up towards the sky.
Opting for a macro lens allows me to edit out the busy surroundings of the quince blossom. The flowering quince bush is tied with lots of flowering branches crisscrossing behind the blossom. This early in the Spring only a few of the quince blossoms are fully open. Our honeybees love them. We will see the reward of their work come fall.
The warm morning sun finished off this beautiful quince floral macro artwork. The sun still low in the sky brushed over and behind the quince flower. The front blossom petals are shaded and allow the water droplets to stand out.
Incorporating nature images into modern decor adds a sense of health, well-being, and calm. The Quince is the fruit of love and unity.
