At Denmark's westernmost point, the beach stretches in endless silence. The sand is golden yellow, like sunlight left by the earth itself. The wind gently strokes the dune landscape, forming fine patterns in the sand, as if nature left its own handwriting here.
Above me, clouds slide slowly through the sky, their shadows dancing across the plain. In the distance, almost unreally small, a flock of birds takes off. They move as one organism, carried by the wind, detached from the land - as if they represent the freedom this place exudes.
Here, where Denmark ends and the North Sea begins, you feel the vastness of the world. A place to stand still, breathe, look.
