How a school assignment can become a mega work of art more than 40 years later. Make something that can't be done was the assignment. The artist went crazy and made a head with a fork in it and a baby in a pear. Pretty crazy but that's how an artist's brain works. The drawings have not been preserved because the teacher kept them as an example.
Then they were drawings, colored with watercolor, now the artist Christel De Buyser has gone completely wild with acrylic paint and gold leaf. Ask for the availability of the original. the original is 85x110cm made with artists materials.
What if Eve had not bitten the apple? Would we be growing in pears on a tree? The thick umbilical cord extends into sturdy stems on a swaying tree. The eyes are protectors of the baby. The artist made the baby with gold leaf and look at the little hand.... The baby is giggling in the safe pear bag. Artist Christel De Buyser has a lot of fun creating and it shows in this painting. The leaves are grouped in groups of 3. Do you know what it means? Red stands for love, blue for balance and purple the higher self. She can talk for hours about her artwork.
Intuitive painting is part of Christel De Buyser's life.
