1964 and West Berlin looks bright and sunny. The wall already separated West and East for three years and this would last until November 9, 1989. Over the years, spectacular efforts have been made to climb the wall, fly over, and dig a way underneath it. Creativity grew, like chests underneath cars, and invisible storage spaces inside cars. For example, an East Berliner crossed the wall with a shovel, and tunnels were dug underneath the wall. People took a lot of risk to live in freedom, as in this picture.
