A lively street view of Antwerp. We are on the Meir Bridge, which passes into the Shoenmarkt. Just before the right turn is the Boerentoren, which was the first skyscraper of Europe in 1931, with a height of 87 meters. During the Second World War the tower was severely damaged, but was then restored. In this picture it’s standing proud again. A beautiful monument in art deco style. The photographer chose a creative perspective, higher than street level. He probably is in an open car. The result is a beautiful view of this attractive street. Google Street View avant la lettre.
