Wales is known for its 'great little trains'. Nowhere else will you find so many narrow gauge tracks with steam trains as there. In Snowdonia, the highest part of Wales, two affiliated lines run: the Wlesh Mountain Railway and the Ffestiniog Railway. They share rolling stock and staff. The trains of these railway lines both have beautiful routes: along the imposing mountains and through the valleys of Wales amid lots of greenery, rivers, streams and waterfalls. A beautiful area to visit.
With this photo, taken from a viaduct, I have tried to capture the character of Wales and the train lines. In the absence of wind, the steam swirls beautifully right over the locomotive and carriages, completing the picture. The movement of the train is also reflected in the picture.
A great picture for those who love trains, Wales or the green countryside. Also nice in a children's room.
