The Wekeromse Zand is a more than 500 hectare area in the Dutch province of Gelderland.
It is located southwest of the village of Wekerom. The Wekeromse Zand consists of forest, heathland and arable land and a unique sand drift area, which was once 300 hectares in size. There are also some small fens.
Besides the drifting sand, the Wekeromse Zand also has a lot of forest and heathland. To keep the drifting sand 'alive', it is necessary for the wind to keep the sand moving. Together, the grazing herds of mouflons and heathland cows ensure that the heath does not become overgrown with tall grasses.
There are a number of marked walking routes in the area, which can also be found on the information boards at the various parking places.
