About the artwork

The Wechsel is a low mountain range in eastern Austria whose highest peak is the Hochwechsel (1,743 m above sea level (AA)). The massif forms the border between the states of Lower Austria and Styria for about 15 km, southeast of the Semmering and northeast of the Graz Basin, between the Feistritz saddle and the eponymous Wechsel pass.

Here the landscape is covered in a thin layer of snow in winter, with a field lying between the mountains.

Josef Stoitzner (February 1884 in Vienna, Austria; 6 July 1951 in Bramberg im Pinzgau, Land Salzburg) was an Austrian painter and graphic artist.

Stoitzner was represented at all major German art exhibitions in Munich from 1938 to 1943.

Josef Stoitzner remained dedicated to mood impressionism throughout his life; his early or late winter landscapes are highly characteristic, in which meticulously executed branches of bare trees contrast with the soft clarity of patches of snow and a clear evening sky.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
