This watercolour rendering shows the Belfry in the middle of the lively shopping centre of Sluis, Zeeuws-Vlaanderen.
The Belfry was built in 1375 following the example of other Belfries in Flanders. In 1944, during the Second World War, the building was completely destroyed, but then completely restored in the old style.
