This greylag goose hides in an herb meadow.
The hint of cow parsley in the background was created by so-called lifting paint, and in the foreground the white of the cow parsley was blotted out using masking fluid.
The use of both these techniques creates a depth effect between foreground and background and the goose, giving this work a somewhat elegant and classic look.
I am Marina, self-taught. Nature, animals, landscapes, beautiful skies, sunrises and sunsets capture my attention. I love the whimsical, moody and unexpected atmosphere that nature can radiate and enjoy capturing it in watercolour works.
