Watercolour of the Gasthuiskerk in Zierikzee. A unique combination of Handelsbeurs and church. Originally the hospice chapel, it was founded in the second half of the 14th century and served as a shelter for poor strangers passing through and for the indigent sick. The chapel was served by its own parish priest.
