About the artwork
"Water droplets on a dandelion fluff" is an (extreme) macro photo of a dandelion fluff, with other fluff ball fluff in the background and a grey background. Water droplets hang from the fluff.
The depth of field is very shallow (only a few millimetres from the fluff). This creates a calm, dreamy atmosphere and also a sense of depth in the work. The droplets also collaborate to create this dreamy atmosphere, they reflect the light and this creates sparkles on the droplets.
This photo was taken with a more extreme macro lens than is normally used. This magnifies the subject even more and you start to see elements you had probably never seen before: "The wonderful world of extreme macro photography". For example, do you see the "little hooks" attached to the hairs of the lint?
This sounds easier than it is, because you are only photographing such a small piece, any movement you make is immediately visible in your photo. Besides, the light and very limited sharpness are also a challenge! But after a lot of patience, practice, trial and error and keep going, you also get something unique!
This work could hang beautifully as a wall decoration in the bedroom, kitchen, hallway or just above the sofa! Also beautiful in business locations such as on the wall in a meeting room, office waiting room or practice room!
