About the artwork

This painting portrays a modern geisha with a powerful calm gaze. Blossoms gather near the bun and soft washes travel across cheek and collar while controlled splashes frame the face like distant perfume in air. Transparent layers keep the paper breathing so the silhouette stays crisp at large size. The work grew from sketches about resolve and elegance. I wanted color to carry strength without noise, so crimson notes meet measured violets and teals to hold the eye on the expression. The mood is poised and contemporary, inviting the viewer to pause and read the stillness. It is a portrait of assurance, of presence that speaks softly but fills the room.

I built the piece with layered watercolor washes for skin and fabric, selective glazing to refine eyelids and mouth, and light dry brush to set hair strands and floral rims. At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
