About the artwork
"Warm shades of brown: Light falls on the fluffy bulb of a Tragopogon" is a macro photo of a piece of a large fluffy bulb of a Tragopogon. A Tragopogon (in the Netherlands this plant is often called Morgenster) resembles an ordinary dandelion. After flowering, the flower turns into a fluff ball. But the fluff balls are different from those of a dandelion. They have a kind of web-like structure.
In this photo, the light shines beautifully on the structure of the fluff, making it clearly visible against the brown background.
When taking this photo, I set the camera so that only a small part is in focus (just look at the part of middle fluff and piece of the seeds). If you zoom in on the work, you can clearly see this. This creates a sense of depth in the work. It also adds calm to the work, as not everything is clearly present.
This work could hang beautifully as wall decoration on Artframe or aluminium for example, in the waiting room, bedroom, hallway or of course just above the couch!
