About "Warm shades of brown: Drops caught in the golden web of the Tragopogon"

by Marjolijn van den Berg

About the artwork

"Warm shades of brown: Drops caught in the golden web of the Tragopogon" is a macro photo of a fluff of a Tragopogon ( in the Netherlands this flower is also called Morgenster). This fluff has fallen off the fluffy bulb and is lying on a watery surface. As a result, you can see the fluff reflected in the surface. Very small water droplets hang from the fluff, decorating it beautifully. The light falling on the fluff makes the drops light up, making them beautifully visible. If you zoom in on the work, you can see this beautifully.
Like the common dandelion, a Tragopogon is a member of the Composite family. When the flower has finished flowering, it turns into a beautiful ball of fluff, just like the dandelion. Only the structure of the fluff is different in the Tragopogon than in the dandelion.

This warm-coloured work can hang beautifully (for example on aluminium or Artframe) on the wall of your living room, hall or kitchen!
