Warm brown tones: Not available, we are not at home by Marjolijn van den Berg

This wall decoration: "Warme bruintinten: Niet bereikbaar, we zijn niet thuis" is een macrofoto van twee prachtige bruine spiraal schelpen/slakkenhuisjes. (Dit soort schelp/slakkenhuisje draagt de naam: " Phoenicobius Aratus " (if I have researched it correctly).
These two "voormalige woningen" snail shells are now empty. Hence the title of this photo. Because the snail shells can be seen from the back, it gives an even emptier and more absent feeling.
In this photo, the focus is on the side of the shell closest to the viewer. From here, the focus gradually decreases towards the back. This creates a sense of depth in the photograph and at the same time lends a sense of tranquillity to the work.
The two shells are lying on a reflective surface, creating a reflection of the two shells in the ground. In this reflection, you can see the snail shells from a different angle. This adds a nice effect to the photograph.
I have made a series of these two snail shells together. They can be hung together as a series, triptych or set. (This other photograph's zijn te vinden in de map "schelpen" in my Werk aan de Muur shop).

This wall decoration would look beautiful on, for example, ArtFrame or aluminium in the dining room, bedroom, hall or simply above the sofa! Also beautiful in business locations such as on the wall in a meeting room, office waiting room or practice room!
