Pakhuismeesteren for Tea' was the name of the company that after its establishment in 1818 took over part of the Rotterdam activities of the VOC (United East India Company). The building in Rotterdam is the last witness of the former Pakhuismeesteren. The original building from 1891 burned down in 1937 and a new building was erected on the old, wooden pile foundation. After the war two more floors were added which resulted in the current Warehouse Meesteren with the inscriptions 'Celebes, Borneo, Java, Sumatra'.
