I climbed this path during my trip in Switzerland, it was an incredibly steep, slippery and especially long climb. Because of the fog, I couldn't see how high I was, which was perhaps just as well because the chasms were deep. Only when I reached the top did I see how beautiful the path I had just climbed was, now I was still glad I had my heavy camera bag on my back and was able to take this photo. Thanks to the fog, it became a very calm photo with unsaturated colours. In post-processing, I gave the colours an even more 'moody' effect and emphasised the colour green. So this work fits into any interior with natural materials, both on art frame and photo wallpaper. Especially the latter gives something extra to your hallway, bedroom and even your toilet. This way, you bring nature inside and enlarge your space.
There is something enchanting about photography in the mist. The mist dampens the light, creating a soft, almost ethereal atmosphere. Details blur, backgrounds dissolve and only the essence of the subject remains. This gives photos a minimalist but powerful character. Playing with depth becomes more interesting, as distant objects disappear in the grey haze. Mist invites us to look at the world differently, with mystery and simplicity creating surprising images.
