The day I discovered that dewdrops can form a ball, I became fascinated by the phenomenon. It is bizarre how these mini balls form on plants and flowers.
One morning, I decided to photograph these beautiful flowers. This flower had a little ball that was so round, I wanted to photograph it.
The technique is that the aperture is very wide open so the focus is on the dewdrop, creating a huge depth of field.
The photo was taken with a 100mm macro lens. This lens provides enormously bright and deep colours.
The colours yellow and purple pop out. The purple, on the other hand, also has some softness.
The work adds a colourful contrast to the wall, but not too much, because the background is black.
