The city giant, belonging to the family hoverflies (Syrphidae), is a fascinating insect with impressive dimensions of up to 2.5 centimetres. Despite its imposing appearance, this hoverfly is completely harmless and cannot sting. Its striking resemblance to the hornet makes the city giant all the more intriguing, as a master of mimicry.

Safe admiration of the City Giant

Contrary to its name and appearance, the city giant poses no threat whatsoever. This hoverfly does not bite or sting, making it a safe and engaging addition to your wall decoration.
