About ‘Walking towards the horizon in an abstract landscape, digital collage’ by Lina van Oers

A solitary walker follows a path of light through a vast landscape. On the horizon lie gentle mountains in various shades of earth. Above them hangs a simple, round sun in warm terracotta.

The composition has a graphic quality due to the clear planes, but remains calm and accessible thanks to the natural forms. The winding, light-filled foreground naturally draws your gaze into the landscape. You almost automatically follow the same route as the person in the picture.

To me, this work feels like being on a journey without knowing exactly where you’re going. Not rushed, but rather in complete tranquillity. That atmosphere makes it ideal for spaces where you don’t want too many visual stimuli.

The combination of cream, sand, brown and terracotta complements contemporary interiors featuring wood, travertine, linen and other natural materials.
