About ‘W01, fog profile’ by Niklas Steffen

What we see is a side portrait, calmly and precisely modelled, set against a soft, turquoise-coloured space. The background resembles mist or moving water, with fine lines of flow that only become apparent at second glance. A small, characteristic detail is the dark, curved accent on the cheek, which creates a graphic counterpoint to the soft atmosphere. The transition from light to shadow on the neck is also deliberately smooth, making the figure appear as if embedded in its own layer of air.

A clear, cool feeling, not cold in the sense of being dismissive, but cool in the sense of being tidy, focused and quiet. The colour scheme is calming without being sterile.

For me, this work is an image of both distance and presence. It does not tell a story, but shows a state in which one can pause for a moment. The space around the figure is not a "background" but part of the statement: the indefinite supports the concrete.

W01 functions as a calm focal point that does not fill a wall but organises it. At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
